Weekly Market Report | April 16th, 2018

  • The average sale price in the GTA has climbed within the last month. In the 2nd week of April it’s now at $825,000, approaching what we saw last year at this time.⠀


  • Sale prices in B.C. are also breaking records again. Will we follow suit? Will there be more government intervention? Probably yes to both. As history tells market forces are usually much stronger than any government intervention. ⠀


  • The demand is definitely there in the 416. If you are looking to buy in the main core, quit looking at overall data as exterior area codes skew data. Also, don’t be of the mindset that if you wait it out you’ll get a deal. Who knows, you might!  But I am a firm believer that you cannot “time” the market, and none of us can read tomorrows newspaper. ⠀
